Homework

Home learning is considered a vital link toward helping develop the full potential of our pupils. It is a means of strengthening the home school partnership and supporting parents with their child’s learning. Children who are supported in this way achieve significantly higher results, year on year, than where there is limited home support.

At Eton Park, we have undertaken significant research and made a decision that we will help children and families to focus on 'core skills' as home learning, rather than specific tasks that have very little impact on the learning of our pupils.

Every child is expected to:

Read at least FIVE TIMES each week, either independently or with / to an adult

To practise their multiplication tables facts - this could be done via the Times Tables Rockstars platform, which our children love!

In Year Six, when the children are preparing for their end of Key Stage SATS, teachers will often set revision-based tasks, via the Class Dojo page.
