Admissions Overview
Our schools' PAN (pupil admission number) is 60 children per year group. As a junior school we admit pupils into years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
If you would like to apply for a place for your child to attend our school there is a registration process you will need to follow. If you would like your child to attend year 3 as a new pupil you will need to contact the Admissions Department at Staffordshire County Council and complete the admissions form.
If your child is transferring from another school (mid year transfer) you will need to ask your current school for an admissions form (which has a section for the head teacher to complete). Complete the rest of the details on the admissions form and give it into our school office. Our school then has 10 days to inform you if there is a place available for your child.
If we are able to offer you a place within our school you will be invited to look around the school and complete the registration forms. When you attend this meeting you will need to bring with you the following documentation in order to complete the registration process.
- Proof of address (the most recent utility bill)
- Child's birth certificate and Passport
- Any academic reports you have on your child
Admission appeals
All children who have been refused a place at our school are automatically added to a waiting list which will be maintained by the Local Authority until the end of the Autumn Term following the planned admission date.
If you couldn't get a place for your child, you can appeal against the decision. Appeals should usually be made within 20 school days of the date of notification that the application was unsuccessful.
You can appeal for any or all of the schools where you have been refused admission.
Your appeal will be heard by an appeal panel, independent of the school and the Local Authority.
Further information and guidance on the appeals process can be found on the Local Authority's website.
